Privacy Policy
Effective July 13, 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information Caerus (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects when you visit this website, join our waitlist, contact us, or use our invite-only product demo, and how we use it. Caerus is pre-launch: this policy reflects that limited scope today, and we'll update it as the product evolves.
2. Information We Collect
- Waitlist information. When you join the waitlist, we collect the first name and email address you provide, whether you opted in to updates, and, if you signed up through a referral link, which referral code brought you here.
- Contact form information. If you send us a message through our contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide.
- Demo account information. Our product demo is invite-only. If we invite you and you create an account, we collect the email address, password, and name you provide. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and stored in encrypted form; we don't see or store your password in plain text.
- Technical information. When you submit the waitlist or contact form, our server briefly holds your IP address in memory, for up to ten minutes, solely to detect and block automated abuse of those forms. It is then discarded and not written to any database or log we retain.
3. Cookies
The marketing site (the pages you're likely reading this on) does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics. If you have an invited demo account and sign in, the demo sets functional session cookies so you stay signed in; these are used only to operate the demo and are not used for tracking or advertising.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to:
- Maintain the waitlist and track referrals, including moving you up the list and unlocking referral rewards
- Send you occasional product updates and launch news, if you opted in
- Respond to messages sent through the contact form
- Create and secure your account and authenticate you if you have invite-only demo access
- Prevent spam and abuse of our forms
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We share information with a small number of service providers who process it on our behalf, and only for the purposes described in this policy:
- Email delivery provider. Sends waitlist welcome and update emails, and stores the name, email, and opt-in status of waitlist signups for that purpose.
- Database and authentication provider. Stores waitlist signups and contact messages, and, for invited demo users, handles account authentication and session data.
These providers are contractually restricted from using your information for anything other than providing their service to us.
6. Data Retention
We keep waitlist and contact form information until you ask us to delete it, or until it's no longer needed for the purposes described above. If you opt out of updates or unsubscribe, we stop sending you email but may retain a record that you were on the waitlist. Demo account information is retained for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period after in case you return.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls on our database and email providers, to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any message we send
- Ask us to delete your information through our Contact page
- Ask what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, through our Contact page
We honor these requests for all visitors regardless of location, not only where a specific privacy law requires it.
9. International Users
Caerus operates from the United States, and the service providers listed above process and store information in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product develops. We'll update the effective date above when we do.
